The holiday season is now in full swing, and as 2009 nears its end we at King Stairs Software wish you all happy and safe holidays and a Happy New Year.
While the King Stairs Software office will be closed during the holidays, we have engaged the services of some downsized elves to answer e-mails in our absence…
For the next couple of weeks the King Stairs Software office will be closed while its management goes to visit family in lovely Melbourne, Australia.
E-mails and forum posts will still be responded to, but there may be some delay (it is vacation…). Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

ASP Hall of Fame
At the 2009 Software Industry Conference in July, King Stairs Software founder Michael J Marshall was inducted into the Association of Shareware Professionals Hall of Fame for his work as ASP Ombudsman.
An ASP member since 1996, Michael has been the ASP Ombudsman since 1997 – one of the ASP’s longest-serving volunteers – and has assisted hundreds of consumers with queries and complaints.
“This Hall of Fame award came as a complete surprise,” commented Mr. Marshall. “I have been involved with the ASP for most of my professional life, and to be honored for my work this way is just wonderful.”
The Association of Shareware Professionals is an international trade organization for software developers and vendors dedicated to the promotion of the shareware (“try-before-you-buy”) concept.

King Stairs Software is pleased to announce new releases of two more of our freeware applications: KS Calendar and HexHelper.
The main improvement for these releases is support for Windows 7 (and improved Vista support).
We’re planning to update all of our applications for Windows 7, so expect more software releases in the coming weeks.

Welcome to King Stairs Software‘s brand-new website!
It’s been quite a long time since the last major site update, and the old design was becoming a little dated and difficult to maintain (especially when out-of-town).
We’ve always preferred minimalism over “bells-and-whistles”, and this new design is in keeping with that philosophy. If anything, it should be even easier to navigate than the old design; we’ve reorganized the site a bit to improve consistency.
We’re still moving stuff over from the old website and adding automatic redirections where pages have changed address, so you may find some “broken” links while we get things sorted out.
While there is no native version of Jot+ Notes for the Linux/Unix or MacOS platform, that does not mean you have to do without your Jot+ Notes!
